Financial Intelligence Centre, First National Bank and Homesend join speaker panel for remittances TCI’s event
The Financial Intelligence Centre, First National Bank and KPMG have joined the speaker panel of the Cross Border Remittances and Money Transfers Conference due to take place on 15 & 16 March 2017 at the Indaba Hotel in Johannesburg.
The impressive line-up of speakers also consist of representatives of MFS Africa, Investec, ZB Financial Holdings, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, Genesisi Analytics, the SADC Payments Association and Finmark Trust.
All in all 20 speakers will address high level topics covering the remittances industry in southern Africa.
According to Trade Conferences International (TCI) MD, Ryno van Ellewee,this is the third time that the event will be showcased.
Van Ellewee said the conference programme will address a wide variety of topics exploring the challenges and opportunities existing in the remittances and money transfers market.
“With the landscape to remain challenging with non-formal remittances pressuring financial institutions to innovate in order to maintain market share, this is an event that will give delegates an opportunity to learn and network with like-minded professionals.”
Topics to be addressed include an overview of the SADC payments structure for low value remittances, connecting mobile networks to enable regional transfers and remittances, remittances pricing, interbank processes, digitizing remittances in Africa, exchange control and anti-money laundering.
