Elevating South African Remittances and Cross Border Transfers to international level

With cross border payments increasingly on the rise, the stage is set for continued innovation, with threats and opportunities to the payments eco-system, continuously challenging and disrupting the remittances and money transfers environment.

The fourth instalment of Trade Conferences International’s (TCI) signature event – the Cross Border Remittances and Money Transfers Conference 2018 – has evolved over the years to keep attendees updated and competitive to international standards.

With more than 200 million international migrants sending over $600 billion annually, the playing field is huge and the opportunities even bigger.

Migration mobility has increased and so the need for faster, cheaper and more efficient ways of transferring money from one country to another.

This two-day event will dissect the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in the market. Once again the speaker panel will be representative of the major players in the industry.

Topics are carefully selected to underline the latest news and how it will impact on prospective attending companies’ operations, especially with regard to topical concerns such as mobile money, AML/ KYC compliance, technology and regulation. The updated programme is also shaped to address issues such as the impact of de-risking on the remittances industry, and to facilitate greater interoperability in financial services.

Last year’s event was attended by major SADC banks such as ABSA, Central Africa Building Society, JP Morgan Chase, Investec, Grindrod Bank, Bidvest, FNB, Nedbank, Rand Merchant Bank, SA Reserve Bank, Standard Bank, Steward Bank, several money transfer operators, government and service providers.

We invite professional dealing with remittance, money transfers, anti-money laundering, compliance, international payments, treasury, regulation and trade to attend this highly informative event.

Looking forward to meet each and all of you at the Indaba Hotel on 14 & 15 March 2018.
